    Organizational Description: Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute is a 150-bed state psychiatric hospital serving acute, extended, and civil/forensic care patients for evaluation and treatment in a 52-county area of East and Middle Tennessee. It is one of four Regional Mental Health Institutes operated by the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (TDMHSAS), the State of Tennessee�s statutory authority in mental health care and substance abuse services. The facility is fully accredited by the Joint Commission and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

    Expectations:The Chief Executive Officer serves as the executive head of Moccasin Bend Mental Health Institute. The CEO provides overall direction for the facility by establishing the hospital�s mission and vision and conducting long-term strategic planning in line with the overall direction of TDMHSAS. In addition, the CEO is responsible for overseeing the hospital�s operations through direct supervision of the top executive staff. This position reports to the TDMHSAS Assistant Commissioner for Hospital Services.
    Applicants must have experience in the management of hospitals and the ability to lead, direct, delegate, manage, and supervise staff members serving in a variety of hospital functions. In addition, applicants must be able to set a strategic direction for the hospital, collaborate and coordinate with all levels within the hospital, community, and TDMHSAS. The ideal applicant will have:
    � Strong leadership and management skills.
    � Ability with developing and direction others individually and in teams.
    � Exceptional problem solving skills.
    � Excellent verbal, writing and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels.
    � Exceptional organizational skills, in both short term and long term planning.

Generous benefits include a 40-hour work week, 176 paid vacation hours per year; 104 paid sick leave hours per year; 10 paid holidays; retirement plans; free parking; and choice of very low cost health/dental/vision plans. Part-time (20�hour work week) with prorated leave also available.

    The NEFSH north campus, located in Macclenny, Florida is the largest provider of civil service in the State of Florida, operating 613 beds. NEFSH is located in Baker County, Florida within commuting distance from Jacksonville and approximately 50 miles north of Gainesville and the University of Florida. Air service includes Jacksonville International Airport (40 minutes). Major highway interstate access includes Interstate 10 (one mile), Interstate 95 (35 minutes) and Interstate 75 (40 minutes). No on call duties.

    The south campus, NFETC, is located in Gainesville, Florida, approximately 60 miles from the north campus, and is a forensic, all male, 180-bed facility. Gainesville is home to the University of Florida and is located on the I-75 corridor halfway between Atlanta and Miami. Air service includes Gainesville Regional Airport and Tampa International Airport (90 minutes). Telephone call only.
