    OVERVIEW: Northeast Florida State Hospital, a large mental health treatment facility, is seeking a Board Certified, Florida Licensed Psychiatrist as its Medical Executive Director. The incumbent is tasked with ensuring individuals receive comprehensive medical and mental health services in a cost effective, customer oriented manner, following medical ethics and standards in an outcome oriented management system.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Chairs Executive Management Team overseeing clinical service delivery and hospital management related to resident care
    • Serves as a consultant in matters relating to psychiatry, general medicine and clinical administration
    • Acts as a liaison between the hospital and academic institutions
    • Writes policies and operating procedures related to clinical services
    • Develops hospital budget by establishing expenditure priorities, and administers expenditures so budget integrity is maintained
    • Employs and directs all Senior Physicians
